Azalea City Montessori is a school that focuses on the Montessori principals of education. It emphasizes freedom within limits and a multi-age environment. Independence and self-management are emphasized while peace is taught through activities that embrace communication and care for the environment. 

Primary Program

Age Requirements

To enter into the primary program students must be the following:

K3 students: 3 years old by Sept. 1 and fully potty trained
K4 students: 4 years old by Sept 1
K5 students: 5 years old by Sept 1


All students grades K3-K5 are in the same classroom together with 2 teachers. Montessori education is based on multi-age classrooms. Students who are with us from K3-K5 will have the same teachers for 3 years. This allows teachers to get to know students on a deeper level and truly understand how students learn and thrive.

Admission Process

In order to be considered for admission to the primary program each student must do the following:

Step 1: Complete an application for admission to primary program
Step 2: Student must participate in an observation day in the classroom applied
Step 3: Complete and turn in any required paperwork prior to his/her first day.
Step 4: Pay any registration fees due and first month's tuition prior to his/her first day


  The primary program at ACM is competitive and spots fill up quickly. Each year there is space for 22 students in the Primary classroom. It is advised that you  complete the application process as soon as you decide ACM is the best fit for your child. Priority will be given in the following order:

                                  1. Returning students

                                  2. Siblings of returning students

                                  3. New students 

  If no spots are available, your child can be placed on a waiting list. The waiting list will be filled on a first come first serve basis with open classroom spots being filled in numerical order. 

Elementary Program

Elementary Requirements

New students who enter into the Elementary program must provide Azalea City Montessori with his/her academic history. This includes the following:

1. A copy of the students unofficial transcripts and/or report card from the previous year

2. If student has a current IEP or academic evaluation, then copies of current IEP are required, so services can be scheduled.

3. If student previously attended another Montessori program. A copy of their last work plan or a report from their previous teacher on where the student is academically.

Step 1: Complete an application for admission into Elementary Program.

Step 2: New students must either meet with the teacher or schedule an observation day in the classroom

Step 3: Complete and turn in any paperwork required prior to his/her first day

Step 4: Pay any registration fees due and first month's tuition prior to his/her first day

 The Elementary program is split into two groups, Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary. Lower Elementary consists of grades 1-3, while Upper Elementary consists of grades 4-6. Each classroom has 1 lead teacher and depending on the number of students enrolled a second teacher or a teacher assistant will be added to the room. Each year there is space for 30 students combined in lower and upper Elementary. It is advised that you complete your application as soon as possible to ensure your child entrance into the program. Priority for entrance into the Elementary program will be given in the following order:
